Crested Geckos

Crested geckos are arguably the most popular New Caledonian geckos in captivity. They grow to roughly six inches long and are known for their "eyelashes" and the "crests" along the side of their head. These geckos can be jumpy as babies but it's easy to predict where they may jump, and as they get older they become more and more calm. Because of this they're handleable and generally not defensive. Our projects focus on tri-colors and high whites.

Crested geckos thrive in temperatures between 72-78 degrees. We don't provide our geckos supplemental heating and they do great at room temperature. They eat a fruit and insect powder mixed with water every 2-4 days depending on their age and we also recommend feeding calcium-dusted insects like crickets or dubia roaches, but this is not required on a regular basis. Crested geckos should be misted twice a day to allow for a humidity spike and then a drying-out period.
